Hera Quartet ha sede ad Amsterdam ed è stato fondato nel settembre 2022, quando i suoi quattro membri si sono incontrati al Conservatorio di Amsterdam. Attualmente il quartetto è seguito dal violoncellista olandese-russo Dmitri Ferschtman.
Si sono già esibiti in importanti sale da concerto, tra cui la Royal Concertgebouw (Kleine Zaal), il Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ di Amsterdam e la Stadsgehoorzaal di Leiden.
Nell’ottobre 2025 il quartetto è tornato nella Kleine Zaal del Concertgebouw in occasione di un evento speciale con lo scrittore di fama mondiale Dan Brown. Hera Quartet è stato invitato nel febbraio 2025 alla trasmissione Muziekfabriek esibendosi live per NPO Klassiek, radio nazionale olandese.
Nell’aprile 2025 hanno debuttato nel programma televisivo “Podium Klassiek” su NPO 2, esibendosi insieme a Juan Pablo Jofre e Sasha Witteveen.
Il quartetto ha preso parte a numerosi festival internazionali, tra cui lo Scalda Kamermuziek Festival, l’Emmy Verhey Festival e il Beethoven Festival. Nel settembre 2023 hanno aperto il concerto del Danish String Quartet, e nel gennaio 2024 sono stati invitati ad aprire il concerto del Jerusalem Quartet in occasione del String Quartet Biennale Festival di Amsterdam.
Durante la stagione 2024/25 hanno vinto il Premio del Pubblico dopo il loro concerto al Theater De Leest in Olanda. Nell’aprile 2025 si sono esibiti in occasione del National Geographic Summit ad Amsterdam, nella sala grande del Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ completamente sold-out.
Dal novembre 2023, il Quartetto Hera è membro ufficiale della NSKA String Quartet Academy di Amsterdam, ricevendo la guida di musicisti di fama internazionale come Marc Danel, Eberhard Feltz, Lukas Hagen e Simone Gramaglia.
Dal 2024 Hera Quartet fa ufficialmente parte delle Dimore del Quartetto.
Il quartetto è stato inoltre ammesso alla ISA-MDW Summer Academy e alla prestigiosa Accademia Chigiana di Siena (Italia), dove ha studiato sotto la supervisione di Bruno Giuranna. Nel settembre 2024 l’Hera Quartet è stato selezionato come uno dei tre ensemble partecipanti alla “Espresso Masterclass” tenutasi a Cassine (Italia), con concerti organizzati da Le Dimore del Quartetto e masterclasses con Kyrill Zlotnikov, Arben Llozi e Simone Gramaglia.
The Hera Quartet is based in Amsterdam and was founded in September 2022 when its four members met at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. The quartet is now under the guidance of Dmitri Ferschtman, Dutch-Russian cellist. They already made their debut at important venues including the Royal Concertgebouw (Kleine Zaal), Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ in Amsterdam and Stadsgehoorzaal in Leiden.
In October 2025 the Quartet came back to the Kleine Zaal of Concertgebouw in occasion of a special event with bestselling writer Dan Brown. The Hera Quartet has already made its appearance at Dutch National Radio NPO Klassiek. In April 2025 they had their debut at the Dutch television programme “Podium Klassiek” on NPO 2 performing together with Juan Pablo Jofre and Sasha Witteveen. The quartet has been part of several international festivals like the Scaldis Kamermuziek Festival, the Emmy Verhey Festival, and Beethoven Festival. In September 2023, they played the pre-concert for the Danish String Quartet and in January 2024, they were invited to perform the pre-concert for the Jerusalem Quartet at the String Quartet Biennale Festival in Amsterdam. In the 2024/25 season, they were awarded the Audience Prize after their concert at Theater De Leest. In April 2025 they performed in occasion of The National Geographic Summit in Amsterdam, performing in a sold out Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. Since November 2023, the Hera Quartet has been an official member of the NSKA String Quartet Academy in Amsterdam, receiving guidance from esteemed musicians such as Marc Danel, Eberhard Feltz, Lukas Hagen, Petr Prause, Simone Gramaglia, Matthieu van Bellen, Judith van Driel, and David Faber. In April 2024 the Quartet has been invited by the artistic director to join “Le Dimore del Quartetto”.
The quartet has been accepted into the ISA-MDW Summer Academy and the prestigious Chigiana Academy (Siena, Italy), where they studied under the supervision of Bruno Giuranna. In September 2024 the Hera Quartet was selected as one of the three ensembles to take part in “Espresso Masterclass” held in Cassine, Italy, where they played concerts organized by “Le Dimore del Quartetto”. They received intensive coaching with Kyrill Zlotnikov, Arben Llozi and Simone Gramaglia.
